I live in Utah - and for example Antelope Island is a state park. I thought I read somewhere that they are off-limits? Does anyone have any info on this? Has anyone hunted over on Antelope Island?

Dang, Seldom beat me......the good news is there is not an iron-clad ban on metal-detecting in Utah state parks like there is in some other states (like Texas). The bad news is you need a permit, BUT (as in Florida) you get the permit at the park.

Now for the really bad news, the way the site reads, anything you find you have to turn in Sad

Thats not good sounds like fossil permits in Florida you have to send in a list of your finds in case the state wants them.

What I beat you once this year I am old and take a lot of naps

Not much.. Late last summer I went to one in Kaysville, and it only got me some small change and a hot-wheels car. I was looking in the playground area. Me personally, it takes too much effort to dig up grass.
