Son and I were in a shack in the desert where a one eyed guy with scars all over his face, lost them in a beer bottle fight, ran a store?Huh?? where he sold used bathtubs and gas meters, and rocks, looking around, when 3 Navajo/Mexican?Huh? came in, immediately this guy grabs a 30-30 rifle from under the counter and starts screaming and carrying on in a language we did not understand, but he was  MAD, the 3 in the doorway were  SCARED, the 2 nibb lookers, me n the boy are completely freaked out, =no way out  cement block bldg, only 1 door and 3 people in it , about to be shot, well after much carrying on the man let the 3 people leave in a cloud of dust and rocks, he put away the gun and we scurried out, just like the 3 other guys did,= found out  few days later  that this guy buys stolen stuff from the theives(which are rampant in this area) and they had sold him some bad stuff, don't know what ever became of the deal, i just did not ever intend to even slow down going past that place  EVER  Grin

Son still lives there, if i get out there again, i will more or less have to expedionize the trip, to find the silver, it would require a stay in the wilderness and mountains for a while, i have the area narrowed down to two canyons, each is about 5 mi sq area so it is huge and would take a while, would love to go out again, it's beepin in all metal all the time, if it beeps it's good stuff  Grin

i mean we'd pack everything too~from all photographic eq. to cases of poptarts & everything in between.bring some two ways so when you find something before u dig it~i'll document & vice-versa.this is dooable boogs! Grin

Hey Doc=evertime i look at them pics, or think bout that trip, i could sell a quart or two of adrenaline, if trip were to be made it would need to be in the summertime as the altitude keeps it right coooooool, and now m son is under some  16 in or so of snow at his location, it does get cold up round 7 to 10,000 ft, most the stuff i found was around the 7-9,000 level, HAW  level Grin
