Visiting my son in New Mexico, we researched the story at libraries and archives, found it to be true, decided to go for it, we started at the town mentioned, pop is about 3oo, and near the elevation of 6.000, very rough mt climmbing, rocks the size of trucks, on the mt top, many wild dog packs, first dig was an english cup weight,(dated at 1100) this on the spanish trail the Preists used transporting silver from Santa Fe to mexico, they were attacked by Apaches, hurriedly buried silver, turned mules loose, all people killed but 1, he related this story, here is the gravesites of the party, the cup weight, and the silver bar i found near the site, had it checked, it is low grade silver, but what a thrill, one in a life time and with my son, will be more stories and pics to follow,
