I don't think i'll go until it cools off, but as soon as the temperatures get to a nice area we'll start to head out.

Count on temps 20 degree more then they say they will be.

Altitude is 2000ft at the base and It gets way hotter then the Official Temps they record.

Oh i believe it. I don't know where they got their data. Nah, we know arizona pretty well. When the times right we'll make our way over. plus that gives us more planning time.

If your serious about doing this, you need to do some Serious HOME work.

Snakes will be in the shade during the day.    Your Going to want shade during the day.

There is a population of Mtn Kitties there.   Just something to think about.

Okay, but thats why I said i'm in no hurry. I want to get all the research and preperations perfect as well as the weather conditions. Thanks for the info, but I think that the wildlife is completely different in the colder months.

You seem to think you can just take your Google map and walk right to the mine. You have no original  info you  have no clue what just a few hours in them hill can do to a man.

No, we don't think we can just 'use our Google map and walk right to the mine'. Of COURSE there's more to it than that, and because we posted one you think that's the only thing we're going off of? Oh, and define original info, because if you think that we just got on and read the Wagoner Mine thread, you are soorly mistaken. We've been looking into this for a week or so before that thread even started, and we have several plans to act on this information before the actual expedition. I don't know what a few hours in the hill can do to a man? Oh, so just because you may(or may not) have seen that happen, you just assume that I haven't? Don't you think that's a little... arrogant? Thanks for critisizing us rather than help us, you're a great moderator. Keep up the good work.

Do You know any thing about Mining Law?

Do you Realize that this area is in a STATE PARK and they will chuck you in jail for removing Rocks, Never mind Gold?

If you Do find it you need to stay shut up and do battle with the State .

Myself being a Hoodlum would whittle enough gold out to keep me in the game and Do Battle with the Big Boys in the state.

Never Never Tell them where it is!

Just show them a Sample that could put you in jail and say Lets make a Deal!  After you do the same with the DNR of course.

Or just Keep Whittling and your mouth shut and sell a bunch of gold.

Homefire, we know the area is protected, but thanks for telling us we can get in alot of trouble. We won't flaunt it about even if we did find something. We are in it more for the thrill of the hunt then what we find, but a little gold wouldn't hurt. Tongue
