Ft. Huachuca Gold

(1/1)

R2D2:
I am new to the club and I find it interesting to read some of the past posts on treasures. I am personally acquainted with the story of the Ft. Huachuca Gold. It was a highly classified report for many years, but after the time expired, it was released as unclassified. My sister happened to be working as a secretary for the post commander when this happened. He asked my sister if she had any brothers who might be interested in stories of gold. When she mentioned my name, he suggested she copy this newly released report and give it to me to read. He then handed her the report, about 1 inch thick, and told her to file it in the declassified section after she was done with it. My sister did copy it and brought it home. I read it from cover to cover and it was amazing. In the report were three different letters signed by three different presidents acknowledging the treasure. What was interesting is that my father worked on post at headquarters during this time period, and after Jones started his search, the military fenced the area and posted guards 24/7! This continued for many years after Jones left. My dad mentioned that access was strictly controlled and watched for a long time. Then one day he noticed that the area was no longer guarded and anyone could come and go as they pleased. My father believed the military had gone in there and extracted the gold secretly to minimize knowledge of it and the gold disappeared. I have since lost the report, but I believe it is still available to the public if someone is interested in it. Good luck!

That's a fascinating story. Too bad the legend indicates that it was recovered.

I wonder if this is related to the story I read about that the Army was secretely involved in a huge Gold mine , that was completely Barb wired and hidden from the public and top secret of course . And today what's left is barren land and the fence still keeps people out. I though it was some where in the western United States. Does anyone remember, maybe on a treasure forum or the news ??

R2D2:
As my dad mentioned, why would they guard it excessively then not guard it at all, unless there is no longer anything to guard!
