mathematician and asked him some questions what are the odds on one person finding all four charts a lot he said but not a lot if you are looking for them what are the odds on there being a triangle and it all lines up , millions and millions to 1

You think, why not just ask your palm reader or bookie

You said
I'm not interested in what Kidd did only are the charts real or fake.

That makes no sense at all, and the charts have been proven to be fakes Why can't you understand that. Even Guy and Hubert Palmer the so call finders later admitted they were fakes.

So whats your angle are you writing a book, are as said before just looking for someone to pay for your vacation.

To Everyone reading this thread,

Please DO NOT fall for this elaborate scam.
Tony is trying to baffle you with words in much the same way as an LRL salesman would do, (although, perhaps, not quite so eloquently).

This "theory" has been mooted hundreds of times.
Tony has NEVER seen the charts for real (unless of course he has travelled to Canada and tracked them down)

Simple "giveaways" like "the charts have never been to the British Museum"..... quite true Tony, they went to the British LIBRARY!!! (who pronounced them fake)

Tonys style of writing and complete lack of punctuation smacks of someone a lot younger than the "Old Man" he says he is.

Further, he still hasn't explained why the address he gave is a business premises NOT in his name!

There are, unfortunately, sometimes people who may be a little "niave" on this type of fraud, you only have to look at the "Yamashita" treasure forums...

Someone, as this is an international forum, somewhere, might get "taken in"
Please make sure it's NOT you!

Hello All

A good scam artist would of bailed along time ago. Grin

Either his is a very bad scam artist or suffering from dementia, mental illness or been puffing on the weed to much.  Cheesy

Take your pick he could not answer simple questions...and when he did, he was not very coherent rambling off about other things...

Ah the people you meet in your travels. Cheesy

Gentlemen, (and Ladies of course), please allow me to put an end to this chain for you.

I do not claim that the Palmer-Kidd chart (as it is now) is original, drawn by Kidd, or has any treasure attached to it; however it is interesting in itself.

For example, we know for a fact that it was almost certainly drawn before aerial photography was available, definitely in this region, and yet it describes accurately an island that currently exists, is in the correct North/South orientation and is small enough to know that several profile features on it are completely recognisable. Without doubt, whosoever drew this chart had this island in mind and had been there and yet interestingly, as few people would have known of, or visited, this place before the 1920-30s as they do today. So is it pure co-incidence, I doubt it.

Tony69:- If indeed you know how the charts work, you will know that there are 3 maps in one. One giving the islands shape, one the islands profile and the third a precise location on the island. To have discovered this, you will not have relied on any the chart wording, (much of which, you have quite rightly been informed by Paul A, would have been inaccurate for the Kidd period), but will have done something very simple as indicated on the inner chart itself; something you would not mind sharing, so I will give you the opportunity of reply to this post before I share it.

In case you are wandering, I have known the location of the island for nearly 5 years now and been there once. The chart does not indicate any buried treasure, rather it directs you to a feature (that exists) and therefore was probably just a reminder of where something was being left for later collection by someone else, (safe, because believe me no-one would stop here unintentionally). The locality fits entirely perfectly with the Kidd story, but then again, would also with the story of many other sailors over the years.

Hope this helps.
