Is anyone actively searching for the Missing Kruger Millions?

(1/1)

Shannon_Travel:
Hi everyone!

I am curious if anyone is actively looking for the Kruger treasure in South Africa. I am working with a television show who is interested in teaming up with an active hunt based on any new information or ideas.  Any insight at all would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Shannon

Perhaps you should do some research first,
On to how treasure hunting works and then ask the question again.

Hi Nickel_n,

I didn't mean to offend- we have previously filmed several treasure hunts and have ways to be very discreet when showing the locations where we are filming. Confidentiality is key. Also, if anyone lucks out, the entire search and find would be on film, which is fun and encouraging for other hunters all around the world.

Hope this helps!

I'm sure you didn't mean to offend.
There are a lot of metal detectorists that are understandably a bit leery of the media because of the way detectorists tend to come across in a lot of the shows (and I do not mean to imply that you or your group are at fault in way).   And then there's the fact that even when a responsible show is produced, it usually results in a whole lot of folks thinking "Hey, that's pretty neat.  That would be a cool and "easy" way to get rich quick" and so they rush out, buy a metal detector and head off willy-nilly looking for treasure and breaking every every rule of the Metal Detectorist's Code of Conduct (and usually quite a few laws) in the process.   All of which winds up reflecting badly on the rest of us and usually results in additional restrictions placed on our hobby.
And then there is the fact that even with ironclad confidentiality agreements and the utmost discretion on the part of you and your crew, if the hunt is successful the participants are going to wind up with a lot more publicity and personal attention both from individuals and from public officials than they likely anticipated and definitely more than they could possibly have wanted.
You might very well get some to respond positively to you.   If they do, it will be by personal message.   And if you can work out an arrangement with them, I wish you and your crew and them all the luck and success in the world, but please try to keep what I've said in mind while you are filming and producing the search.
On a positive note, there has been a lot of discussion about the lost Krueger fortune on this site.   So you may want to scan our archives both for studied opinions as to whether it actually does exist or not, and who might possibly be interested in cooperating with you in some way.

Here is a link to a bunch of people that have formed a dedicated group to find it. Might find someone there to help you out.

There are no Kruger millions, do your history on the matter and you will find that it's the same ghost as the Yamashita treasure.

Too bad we can't get him to look for that lost C47 since it isn't looking too likely that either of us is going to get a chance to chase after it.  And i'd sure like to know what actually happened to it.

Yes a real mystery and a real treasure, not a ghost.
