I'm selling my house in Southern California and looking forward to moving to Idaho in the Bosie area, well within 30 miles. I don't know much about Idaho and what treasures or lost cashe might be there if any. Does anyone know anything about Idaho?

I'm sure there are many leads in the Boise area. Just need to get out and talk to people. A visit to the historical society is always a good thing.

Besides looking for a club in the area once I get there, Boise's Historical Society is going to be one of my first stops once moved in. I'm just over anxious to get there and things just are not moving fast enough.

Thanks for the source to look up stuff.

Boise has a very rich mining history and I'm sure there's alot to be found yet.

chuck, There is a truck stop in Boise,Id.. It use to be the old stage stop. Years ago when I drove a truck there was a few old timers that hung out there drinking coffee. They told me of a few legends. It's a good place to get breakfast and maybe get a few leads.

I'm coming to Boise in May 2011 and I have been doing some research.  There is alot of BLM and US Forrest land around Boise.  BLM allows rock hounding to include metal detecting for nuggets.  There is a prospecting club in boise as well as 2 or 3 metal D clubs and they will have all the scoop.  There is a place called the Wampum Hut in boise that sells detectors and mining stuff that has alot of info too.  I plan on hunting nuggets and will be very busy I'm sure.  You can also pan for gold if you know where to go.  Its all right around boise.

The Hunter139.... One of those guys name was Al Malmstrom.  He was a great story teller.  He even turned me on to a few spots over the years.  As far as the Gold in SW Idaho it is all over.  I would be glad to help someone find some.  I would be glad to show folks the gear I sell as well.  CODY, Idaho Prospecting Supply
