Go Up Go Down

i am having a hard time trying to find a book, was hoping someone out there may know anything of it. i only know of 3 libraries who have it, so far.

"The fillibuster mystery"....by Charles la boureal de la ronciere.
published in 1934
i think publishers were larousse, not sure.

i can find 55 listings of his other works but not this one, nor how many were published.
either that or i am looking in the wrong places.

any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi everybody,

first time I heard about LeVasseur was in a docu on TV. And after some researches on google, I've found this forum.
Most interesting are the following sites...

Reading them carefully, I discovered a remarkable difference in the ciphers. In YB's work, there's a small pic (of bad quality) of maybe the original one (see file attached).

It seems that the cipher has 23 lines... all other just show 17 lines.

Even this pic shows the last line(s) starting with JU...

Has anyone got a copy of the pic of interest of a better quality?

Best regards
Bill

Hello  billtreasure@ymail.com

This map appears to be false just look the edges to see that they have not been used by time .

I have given the link of this site (

Hi Bill,

I think Luc is right. It’s probably something the author of the site has made. He also only refers to the ‘ordinary’ copy and never to this one. The easiest way is probably to ask him.

I think it may be possible to extract the content with a combination of image enhancing and some ‘qualified guessing’ but I hardly think it’s worth the effort. The last line seem to say ‘ la buse’.

If you get hold of a better picture it would be fun to see it in the forum.

yep... it was my first choice to ask Yannick. But unfortunately, no reply yet...
Maybe "mon francais" is not good enough...

In meantime, I'll try to enhance the image... I'll post suitable results.

Hi,

An assumption, i shall assume they are after this pirates haul, no mention was given or what research has been done, bar strange signs on rocks. But a conflict of interest seems to be playing a part also in the powers that be.

Anyway,

You've done it to me again Hardluck

Got me stuck to the monitor like a child looking at cake in a shop window.
