Well I have done about all I can on this one I think. All that can be proved is Pancho's head was stolen where it ended up and why is wide open for debate. Holmdahl was involved in more then one case of possession of gold that was not his and smuggling. He denied till his death that he had a map or the head but did admit to having first hand  info about several caches buried by Pancho

Well, between you and me, I'd have a much easier time believing Pancho Villa had a treasure map tattoo'ed onto someone else head than I would that he had it tattooed to his own......(which could easily get morphed by inattentive listeners or listeners not fully conversant in the dialects used as Villa's (own) head)
