Re Richard Knight, he never found anything! I repeat, the Kidd charts were created in the 1930's so nobody  will ever find his treasure based on these charts.

Like I said earlier, Kidd lied trying desperately to postpone his own execution by claiming to have buried tons of treasure. He promised to give locations but never did.

The truth about piracy is that the spoils were divided quickly and efficiently and then spent almost immediately upon making landfall. There really was no accumulated treasure to bury.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi Seldom,
Out of curiosity , would you care to expand?
Are you suggesting they are all in the same box as this topic?

A good number of infamous pirates who were sentenced to death tried to self commute their sentences by claiming they could lead their captors to treasure which probably never existed.

This is very true Seldom, & in modern times outlaws will often hide there loot because going to the bank with money that cant be accounted for don't look good.   Cool

Richard Knight never found anything, neither has anyone else, why? because the charts are fake! End of story.

Richard Knight did claim to have found something. i'm not saying that I know he has found Kidd's treasure. Just saying he said he found something that he said was Kidd's treasure.

He claimed he had found some of the loot but was arrested as he tried to leave the island off Vietnam with the cache. If I remember right he claimed to have a old map that had been in his family for years which he used to locate the cache.
