| I took out the med. cab. but didn't think to look for a string or chain. I'll look for that and also look for a plumbing access panel too. THANKS!

Last night as I went to sleep, I was thinking of you. See? Isn't that just so special? Or maybe it's creepy. LoL
Ok, almost special. It was more about your problem of where a cache might be hidden. I woke up around 2:00am thinking of hiding places for you to check. Two possibilities came to mind during that state of sleep where I knew I should roll over and go back to the land of nod but my body was telling me to get up.
One is the fan, if there is one. Normally, they are held in place by spring clips that allow you to pull them down for cleaning. They fit inside of the ceiling rafters so when you pull it down, look deep inside the area in the ceiling for a box or jar.
The other thought I had was abandoned plumbing. Older houses sometimes have old valves and pipes left behind from ancient plumbing. If you have any of this kind of old, formerly used plumbing, check them out carefully as they might be a decoy for a stash.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
