I Have The Whites TDI SL PI and it is A Killer for this type of thing and it will go down along way, and in that area forget the MineLab because of the Power Station they suffer extremely bad from EMI

Yeah I'm not sure if the Ground Balance is Adjustable or not, So I wonder if they set it to suit the Beach of Land, Because on the dry areas you can turn off the GB on most machines and Get More Power/Depth,

Those are the Questions you MUST ask them before you Buy it,

I was going to get one of them to play with Too

Well I would do just that, GRID the area into boxes with string and Once the Tide has been out for a while the Ground balance should not be an Issue as the ground dries Out, and you should get good depth But as long as the Lady concerned did not go near the water.

Imagine the Area as a square and detect all the boxes at the top of the square because they would have dried out first and as the day goes on do the Lower boxes because they would of had time to dry out, Ok

Heya,
I was just wondering if you had any luck with finding the ring?
I live just up the road in Hastings, Winchelsea is only 15 mins away from me.
I know its kind of a long shot now and wish I had seen this sooner! I would be up for having a hunt with my mate if you would like?
Send me a PM and I can give you contact details.
All the best
Matt
