Ok, now I know what you are thinking, "this guy hasn't a clue of what he's doing." well you would be right. I have seen those meteor hunting shows on TV and they have sparked my interest in meteors. So, now I am looking to build my very own pull behind metal detector (I live in Texas, there is a lot of ground to cover here) to comb the beaches and open fields with.
I am here to ask if anyone knows how to build one or where i can find easy to read plans. If you can help me out, I sure would appreciate it.

Rob

Hi!
I guess what you're lookind at is something along the lines of a Pulse Induction detector with a large coil that can be "towed".
There are quite a few downloadables here.
Have a snoop around the "pulse induction and deep seekers" section.
What you are trying to achieve is probably not that difficult.

Well, Rob, as Paul said, this is definitely the right place for that kind of information. But first things first. It's customary to stop by at the new user area and introduce yourself. Greetings from Australia!

Now do a search of this site. Top right corner of the page. Search for large coil detector and add the word build into the mix. You should have lots of reading material.

yes, has many kind of important use, it can be used in the airports to detect whether people has brought dangerous good with them and ensure the safety of people. seen from this point it is really useful.

A large tow behind detector is useless for airport use.

I just have no idea about your meaning? What is build pull behind metal detector? Will it more convenient for metal detecting?
