hello Xavier

the senors are mounted on one axis (gradiometer configuration)

i have build a fully analog mag with two identical ferrite core coils

the earth filed induces a nearly same current in the coils, only if the current Change in one of them a Signal is given to two antiparallel connected leds

the tow sensors are fiited on one stiff carbon fibre rod of 80cm distance

Hi Bernte

I know very little about these magnetometers and for that reason I'm planing to build one in the near future but first I need to complete all my other projects.

Hi
Ihave built this magnetometer some times ago.
How can I analyse the data in Geosurveyor? Do you have any reference for the first topic's pictures?
Of course I can transfer the data from my magnetometer to the pc via the software proposed by John Becker.
But the analysis with additional softwares like geosurvayor seems more useful.

All the best

I built this magnetometer and it was simple to build and worked very well. The sensors need to be about 3 feet apart. It would pick up my barbeque grill from 20 feet away.

Hi
do you use another software beside one which is pointed out be the article?
Is you sensor sensitive with respect to rotation?
If possible please send a few pics of your magnetometer here.

all the best
