| Willy, this begs the question of why not test it locally? Certainly boating out to the site as you did is time consuming when it could be tested far more rigorously in the local area and put to use when it is fully tested.

The problem with 'local' sub-marine tests is the weather here. During winter seasons, boats are all safely stored and no real tests could be done even in lakes.
All the tests on shore were successfully made here in Belgium with the real sensor and its long cable.

Im from Bruxelles but have been living in Africa for the past 40 years I say Africa as I was in Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mauritania and Ghana but mostly South Africa I have been to many places in Europe too as I worked there for a period of 4 years in the printing industry (machine installation and moving) hence I like to move the big and heavy stuff.
