It seems google earth doesn't save the overlays or topo's for some reason. The overlays will stay for a time but eventually get replaced with a giant red X. Does anyone know why this happens and what to do to fix it?

You need to save your Image SaveAs!

The over lay is not saved by Google, only your computer.
