Treasure Chest, just keep looking, your gonna see all kinds of neat stuff. Then instead of diging a hole under a turtle(ha ha ha), research the area, know the history, and go back and see if you can find belt buckle, musket ball, or pottery. What I believe the mods are saying, is the signs of today are mostly for amusement.

I have found a simple hole in a rock could have been used to melt ore and make ingots. But it could be just a simple hole in a rock. Does anyone here know the difference between a kgc, indian, or Spanish signs? Most of my books date pre 1950 as I believe people still had integrity back then. That they wouldn't make a story to sell a book.

If your lucky enough to find enough signs in a area to give you an idea to search, thats a finds. A sign by itself is just a rock.

Its hard sometimes not to get excited, and see what you want. You also arent hearing what you want to hear.

I got a pick for you.

Now if you dont see a sign in this picture, you wont ever see a sign. Unfortunately I believe the makers of these signs left in a hurry due to indians. Now thats the treasure. Wanna guess where I started my search? Not here. Wanna guess what I found? Not gold or silver.

I have my own thoughts on signs, but I had to learn them on my own. You got free help here. When they say ignore the signs and have fun, I suggest you do it. I can tell you why they used signs, it aint for gold and silver.

You will have to download this and resize the picture in a photo program to read the clues. Im not doing your work for you.

Assuming (just for the sake of discussion) that all of these signs identified by casca are legitimate and that all are man-made, even if they shapers started with natural rocks that already looked a lot like they wanted them to look, it still would have taken a lot of time and effort for them to "finish" them.   With that many man-hours (either one person spending lots of time or a whole bunch people spending a lot less time each)  there ought to be some other evidence that they were there (and I'm not talking other "signs" in either rock or wood).

You are correct. The real finds were at the bottom of the mountain.

To be honest, when you first posted this picture on a different thread, I didn't see anything that looked like a "sentry" for about 15 minutes. You clarified it better here. Still not seeing alot of the other things you circled, but maybe it shows up better when you are there in person. There are some other things I kinda see there, but the picture is too far away to tell anything, I'll take your word for it.  One question though, if the rock you pointed out as "trap" is a trap, then does that make the one in the lower right of the picture a "mouse trap"? (pardon the humor)  In other words I would think it would mean something different. Also just for kicks, if I were to bury something there and had the means, I would put it under that big rock leaning on its side on the little one. Good luck getting it!

Now your thinking.

If I pulled out my new symbol book, cause my old symbol book doesnt have the same symbols, one could take away alot of information from this picture.

There are symbols there I cant even find information on. I didnt point all of them out.

The old timers see it for what it is.

Also I lost the proper lighting for the picture, its all sun/shade symbols.

There is probably two good symbols there, both from different artist. Its what they wanted you to see. No gold, just amazing what you will find if you get out and look.

The real treasure is who was here, when, and why did they do this here?

Its a process. It almost always turns out the same, and leave you empty handed.

You don't need a symbol book, you need 12-15 strong buddies!  That big slab of rock is sharp-edged and unweathered relative to the rounded, heavily weathered rock it's sitting on. It's out of place and unnatural. It should weigh maybe a couple tons, but it is already resting at an angle. The ground will take off alot of the weight. Just push it over and see what it's on top of. ( Or I guess you could get someone with an 2 box and try to detect under it first before you spend so much money on beer) To bad you may have to split any finds 15 ways though.  Grin

Those rocks are bigger than houses. I have had enough fun here.

The picture was taken with a telephoto lens. Due to the light, and the angle it appears to be flat, and all in a nice little pile waiting for someone. Sad to say it is not. The pictures was taken almost straight up. If you stood up to detect you would fall about 10 stories before the first cactus. Any digging would result in a fast return to the bottom.

You could stand on any of those rocks and throw another rock, and not hit anything. What Im saying is beware. Im not a crook, but there are people out there that would take advantage of you.

Dont believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.

90-95%. That's the main point I was able to take from this thread.
