I can't recall having ever seen anything having been found on one of these sites, not even an old tin hat, yet everybody is digging the place with all these markers and all we ever get to see are these so called markers, don't you think that it's s bit strange?

It's all just Smoke and Mirrors.  Someone Some Place has to be making money on this Marker/Rock/Treasure thing.

I can't beleive we have at least 30 members that beleive in this stuff.

I'm thinking we have two or three under Multi Names playing a game.

Actually chalk is a common way of highlighting petroglyphs so they can be photographed (although it is frowned upon by the cultural protectionists who think it will damage the carvings).....so just because rock signs are highlighted doesn't mean it is the same members doing it and contributing the pics.

Sorry i agree with seldom .. they is just rocks..  eroded by water, roots and other rocks.. Japanese people are fairly highly disciplined and therefore i would believe that if they were to engrave a marker or series of markers the quality of the engravings would be much higher!! so i think some locals are jerking your chain  Grin Grin Grin Grin

besides.. if i were to believe in your pictures i would look again at picture 5 (1st set) at the more angular shapes on the stone not the 2 you have shown on the rock highlighted with chalk (the marked ones could be a depiction of road or river path) but other markings too

hint bottom left corner -- Looks like:

You know that on this farm we have a lot of rocks that look like frogs and faces and all sort of things, the reason being that there were volcanic eruptions in this area some 2 or 3 thousand years ago. I was thinking of starting a thread called strange rocks or funny rocks but then I thought ah what the hell people aren't interested in rock formations what they want to see is gold and so I dropped this idea but perhaps some day I will pick it up again.
