There ya go. Try to find the biggest and oldest tree you can, if not a area missing a tree. Probe there. You never know. Hopefully is a dry or semi dry creek bed. Good Luck.

the box with the heart means kings treasure. it also means 180 degrees theres also another symbol there that means around the bend.180 degrees + around the bend, I would look directly on the other side of this rock if it was me! My guess is it is possible to go to the opposite side of this rock yes? look there or probe there for the kings treasure "Spaniard"

Hi Spainard.

I dont believe the spanish got up that far. I also have other reasons to believe that was put there recently. But your search suggestions still hold water.

Its very possible the mark is on a old outlaw trail. I follow doc Holliday and the Earps history a lot. There is very good descriptions of the trails they rode. I believe Choctaw is far east of the pecos or red river.

There was a spanish expedition to Montana, but that ended badly as most of them did. I dont see them using that trail, but who know?

Also the Kings Trail Im lead to believe is the only trail gold and such could be moved. It established a trade route, and is well documented. Again, I think that trail is too far east.

Wish I knew more about the spanish in your area.

Any time I hear about reals being found or spanish trails outside the kings highway I tend to ignore it.

I do know there were outlaws, and who knows, maybe one was spanish and knew a little about the Jesuits, and signs. Or a Indian who was taught by the army of Cortez. Really reaching for straws here if you dont know who put the mark there or why.

Need more info.

Poor Coronado marched his army across Oklahoma into Kansas in search of the fabled seven cities of cibola.   But to the best of my knowledge, the Spanish never established any settlements in Oklahoma.  They were just passing through looking for gold and when they didn't find easy pickings, they went home to Mexico

There are members from Oklahoma....so far, though, you've mostly been talking to Texans and New Mexicans (at least on this string)    Doesn't mean we aren't up on our history, though.

Thanks BA, I missed that expedition.

I didnt realize that the Spaniards zeal for god, gold, and glory reached that far. I understand the peoples encountered were treated poorly.
