Well is the Spanish operated in your area or any area for that matter there is a record somewhere. All expatiation had a Padre along who keep records and many of the record are in an archives somewhere.
Looking for signs is a good past time but not every mark on a rock is a trail to treasure in fact none are truth be told. But signs on rocks are proof that humans have past that way before you so it up your chance of finding relics and maybe a small cache who knows.

Looking at all the signs is good, now you've done that and taken some photos (thats if you have) would'nt be worth ago
at searchin with a detector or what ever just to see if anything has been stashed near by???

Good luck with your hunt Choctaw "> Looking at yuor picture of the heart, it looks quite old. Also

Well guys my hunt was cut short cause of family business but the turkey tracks believe it or not are pointing to a creek   after doing a little talking to the land owner he told me that there is a cave behind the waterfall on the creek   But like i said it got cut short so now i am like a kid in a candy store cannot wait to get back and go find this cave and the owner said he has seen a big heart on a tree near this area   Rider can't wait to go

hey Choctow, Sounds like you got a good site!! You mite want to take a friend, because if you run into trouble. you got someone to back you up. Cave behind a waterfall wow thats a classic  Cool
I found a heart today but dont think any treasure is related to the site. It was painted on recently.

Great work choctaw you did your homework and it might just pay off! Take a flashlight and pictures for yourself to look at later. I can't tell you how many times I have seen something in the picture I took later on . There was alot of stuff that I missed or that the eye doesnt catch, but the camera see's things the eye cannot. And hopefully you will share with us now that we are all interested and are pulling for you good luck next time out Choctaw "Spainard"

Take a friend, and let him go first. Just Kidding. Be Safe,

I always let the camera take a pic, then go around the corner. If you find a box or something too easy, tie a rope on it and pull it out from a distance. I also read of Arsenic being spread out on the floors of treasure troves. My understanding is the kings rules say 13 booby traps minimum. Not saying its Spanish, but deception in a cache is the game. Be safe. If you find anything, take and re bury it somewhere. Dont say anything to anyone, and cover up any treasure sign you see. It would be a good time to learn the treasure trove laws in your area.

But then you may find a empty cave. Set down and take a few thoughts on what you will really do if you find something. My suggestions are just to get your mind going, and not to be taken seriously. But be safe.

  HI All
I would have to disagree with you Casca, about covering up any treasure signs. Its part of your history and don't think it should be hidden. If there is a treasure it would help to prove that these signs and markers are real. The truth should be known not hidden   Cool

Hi Goldnboy,

I was talking about others when I posted that. But didnt make it clear that there are people out there doing some bad things. Why most get out of town so they wont get in trouble.

Id hate to see Choctaw do all the work, and loose the find, or worse, have someone take it.

I cant post half the finds I make as they were shared to me by someone else. I will say I recently posted about a find in the Robeleo Mountains, and I got to looking and found rock markers all over the place made by hikers. The Robeleo is easy to navigate, you dont need a rock marker to mark anything.

I dont move or destroy markers. But will tell you most are in bad shape when you find one. Im wondering if Choctaw has climbed any of the older trees looking for triangle marks?

I do think it would behoove Choctaw to either not touch the find, or move it to a bank, or another hole. I dont know the laws of his state, here it is not finders keepers.
