These maps were found in an Arizona library, consequently they will show the locations of mines OR deposits of gold only in Arizona. What you will be looking for is a placer deposit only that is displayed on these maps. You are to use all of the tools that you can find on the interenet. What I am looking for from you is the name of the modern location of the placer deposit.

Looking northeast from the Usery Mountains, near Apache Junction, the Goldfield Mountains rise above a small valley, with Four Peaks in the background.

Four Peaks

All three maps are of the same area. I believe that it is east of the Superstition Mountains on a stream the empties into the Salty River to the north. Counting the side canyons southward takes you to an area that fits the stream layout on the hand drawn maps. There are no mines recorded at the exact spot, but there are a few gold mines in the neighborhood close by. Walking down the stream may prove to show a different side canyon, but this is probably close.

Looking south from the top of 4peaks.
I think that is the stream across the river.
