First off;
 What state and area are they in?
These could be just some marks made by children playing around and leaving their mark sorta speak.
But then again, they could lead you to real treasure.

 I saw an out line that you highlighted, that looked like a face that could be seen on the side of a cliff, hill or rock face. The shape of the rock formation that you took a pic of, looks like it was placed in that way, this is why i think that it could lead you to a treasure. More pics of the marks on the stones and a grid made as to where they are located on the hill (north, south, top center, bottom right, etc....
 If you like, I would be glad to help you in decyphering these marks. I have my own Stone Maps that I recently decyphered, I am in the process of recording my discovery. So i have the time right now to aid you in your quest if you like?

Bear,

Thanks for the response.  This immediate area seems to have a lot going on (SW UTAH).  I have another thread on treasurenet with more pics.  I will update this thread as I have time.  Below is another panel that is approximately 1/4 mile (or less) away.  I don't view them as being "connected." Huh?

This panel seems to have a more recent (Spanish???) map over an older petroglyph ... but, alas, I guess.

 Judging by the pics that you provided. I would assume (not knowing where this area is) that the circle that looks like a tree with one branch pointing east, along with the one that looks like a net with a leaf attached to it. These may not be pics of a tree at all, the net could represent water and the leaf would be a branch of a river. The 3 dots with the wavey line next to it, represent 3 peaks and the line is the river. Now for the face with the big chin. There seems to be a "P" next to one of the "points/peaks" of the face-like etching. this would either be, the couse of a river, or the silhouette of a mountain or hill. I would think that "MR" would mean Mountain Range.
 So to read the map, you would stand at the rocks and look at the nearby mountain range. From there you should see streams coming down from the range and connecting to make one river (this is your tree). Once at the center of the "tree" look for the 3 points in the shape of a traingle or the outline of the face like etching. One of the streams is just before the rest and to the right of the river. If it's the points that you see? than head up the stream and look for the face, or vice versa.

 These are just thoughts that come to my mine by just seeing pics and very little else and not knowing the area what so ever. If these things that i have assumed exist, then please let me know.
 I hope that you gain something from this.
 Here is a pic from google earth that i took just to give you an idea, that many things could look like what your looking for, but it don't mean that it is. This pic was taken of an area in SW Utah. Smiley.
