well you got two rocks on another rock !
It  does look like a turtle!?, the location of the turtle or the direction its looking could be of interest / just a couple of rocks...

goldenboy gave good advice-Look where the turtle looks! Also, seems to be a couple of drill holes there. They might be aimed at something or you might have to go the opposite direction they seem to indicate. Scan the whole area and take pictures. Many things can turn up in photos that we miss with our eyes. You seemed to have been in the correct place to view the turtle. What did you see on your back trail ? Its only a true trail sign if it leads you to a trail of signs. Hope you've found a true one and welcome to the adventure. Just notes from a beginner. Jim

Good grief. It's just a couple of rocks on a hilltop. What on earth is wrong with you people?

Goldnboy was taking the wind out of you.

The smart money is in investigating those two holes up there. They could be man made. But then, that's logical. Forget it. Go back to chasing turtles. Those who chase ghosts of signs are never logical.

hello Tommy , How about the area where the turtle is located ? can u give us an idea ? I just had another look at the turtle, is a goodn and the two holes in the rock, perhaps follow that angle from the turtle down the holes. It could be a treasere marker from the old times,
ps dont move the turtle   Cool

There are to many drill holes in this area. The turtle is is an area with alot of sign. How it all fits together who
knows. Someone else show their turtles and let get these figured out.

Tommy, I hate to disappoint you but nobody in their right mind hides treasure and then takes the time to leave you a pile of rocks that vaguely resemble a turtle so you can find it centuries later. What you have found is an odd natural outcropping where a few rocks were left behind by geological activity in an arrangement that resembles a turtle. That's all it is.

Dig around in the holes. Watch for critters.

The Spanish used turtles as trail sign for hundreds of years. Turtles were used in the middle east for trail and treasure sign more than a thousand years ago. Some are huge and extravagant . Most are small and hardly noticeable . The TURTLE posted in this thread looks good to me. The only way to verify it is to follow and see if it is a trail or leads to other sign. Jim

It leads from some sign. It is unnatural. The drill holes are all over in this area, maybe there is a pattern or something. Tommy
