After 8 weeks of no M/D  No no! went to one of my farms to day , and the farmer has just cut the crops  Great Stubble to long and ground rock hard , but gave it 3 hours . Pleased with the Edward hammered penny . Detecting

I'm always envious of you guys in the UK and Europe because you have thousands of years of metal using civilization and human activity to browse through with your detectors. I know finds like these don't come every day but when we here in Oz see them and realize that we have only 150 years or so to sort through, well, it makes me want to weep.

Sigh . . . I'm all right. I'm over it now. Sniff . . . I think.

Beautiful finds. 

I informed my over achieving children that they need to fund a trip to Europe so that I can look for some really old stuff.

Thanks for the comments guys  Great If i go M/D for the day and dont find a hammered  Detecting then i have had a bad day .By the way , i used my new garrett prob to day [ thats some bit of kit ] Just love it .

Nice find, looks very similar to a coin that i found under the blocks in my old sunday school church in wales, but mine turned out to be a gaming counter of sorts!!
