Really nice example of a silver ring from a site that produced coins from both the 14th and 15th centuries.

This was later identified as a 13th century Fleur De Lys pattern bezel ring that would have belonged to a succesful merchant (assets exceeding ?500) or an esquire with land or rent exceeding a certain amount.
If a "lower class/income" ring, silver would not have allowed and pewter would have been used.

My detectors owe me nothing and have paid my wages for over 28 years now. Picture is of gold and white gold rings plus a few silver from my Caribbean house hunting trip a few weeks back. Oldest coin that turned up was 1835.
