Just put a White's 10" DD on my MXT. Any suggestions on where I'm going to find the sweet spot for pin pointing??

mudflap, Don't know-never used that machine. I've tried to determine where the sweet spot is, if you want to call it that.  On the F75 11"DD, it moves around depending an target and sensitivity setting. Usually on the centerline but sometimes nearer the tip sometimes nearer the heel. With the perfect target: that is a single coin at about 3 inches in sand, it is smack in the center of the coil but if there is a piece of iron near by the pinpoint will be off somewhat. A nearby can or variation in the soil enough to throw the ground balance off will throw the pinpoint off too. In this case I take a little extra time. come in from the toe and then from the heel. split the difference. gambol

For Pin Pointing on a DD use the Heal or Toe of the coil. Cool

Yea.... It seemed like the heel but as gambol1 noted, it moved around with different targets. Probably take me a while to get onto this one!!! Thanks for the info

Try lifting the coil a bit when it does that.
