Were the miners still around back then? Grin

Still a lovely little park. A lot of open private property was made public along the river downstream. They now have a trail system from Coloma to Folsom.

Found my half-dollar along the banks down there. No gold so far.

Now that I have the fever, I see rose quartz EVERYWHERE around here.

All you have to do is drive the roads. Dunno about gold being everywhere I see the quartz, but I'm a lookin'.

Great finds!  The GB II can easily find all that kind of stuff.

I'd make a point to go back to that area when it gets cold  well before the first snow - then your Rattler should be underground.

Hammer the whole area.  Particularyy the whole road area that has been bladed...the dozer can move that gold for a long way.

I'd also did deeper into the area you made those finds.  In highly mineralized soils, the GBII does not have significant depth.

Finally, keep coming back & you might want to take some of the dirt in the area and pan it.  It could contain great gold.

Go Up Go Down

batch of poison oak and a tick bite later, draggin the ground, movin leaves, ground balancing, you name it. I've been back.
Pulled my coil cover off, cleaned it out and sealed it from dirt and water.

Put it on Audio Boost and Low Disc. and reworked it again.

Gonna have to wait for first rains at the end of the summer, IF it ever gets here.
