Tes0ro's had to be re-Calibrated for UK use because their DISC set up/Control was not sensitive to suit the type of targets found in the UK, And I think they are/were marketed by Frank Mellish as Laser and that helped with the confusion over whether people were buying the right machines, since then I think Tesoro has added these changes across the whole Range of machines.

The Te'jon is the Deepest of the Tesoro range and it is even more sensitive than the Mighty Lobo. I have always wanted a Lobo but since I found out this the Te'jon will most likely be my Next Detector.

Yea, I want a 20Khz Lobo.   Eurgene had a project working a while back but moved onto something else.  Some day I may make one.

The Lobo already runs at 17.5 kHz so I don't think another 2.5 kHz will make that much difference, My MXT All Pro already see's bits smaller than 0.0001 ozt OR 0.05 Grains and they run at 13.889 kHz ( 14 kHz ) so I don't know how much smaller Gold a person needs to find,

The one thing that bugs me about the Lobo is the Auto Track OR the Manual GB,  It does not have a manual or "fixed" ground balance as it always runs in tracking while in all metal prospect mode. And you cannot ground balance the discrimination mode Because it is Factory pre set. Which Ruins a Damn good machine in my View, Although the MXT has Auto Tracking I can Lock it or Ground Balance it either slightly Positive or Negative by how close I pump the Coil to the Ground and I can Balance out Hot Rocks too, If the MXT had Manual GB it would be 100% Perfect but at the moment it's about 99% If a person wants to be Picky, But So far there is no where in the world where you can't get it to Ground Balance within 2 pumps of the Coil, I can also set it Manually to 50 or 83, Hot rock are not an Issue heck I even balanced out Magnets and magnetic signs, It has about the best Tracking/Ground Balance system ever made.

The Original was 20Khz.   Did not have auto track.

Interesting the Tessoro needed the circuits changing for the UK, Garrett bought out the Euro Ace for the UK market but it was called the 350 in the US I believe, how different are they? no idea, but the Ace 250 was an American import and thousands of British detectorists have used them and loved them, and still do.  I have seen Tesorros being used successfully in the UK so you have to wonder exactly what changes were needed for the Laser, not that I am suggesting it was smoke and mirrors, just curious.

The discrimination was too aggressive and did not go down low enough for hammered and Celtic Coils,

It could had been something as simple doing something for the AC Line freq 50Hz vers 60Hz.    I don't see how it would make that much difference but it can.
