Any one know of any dealers selling the SEF 8x6 by Detech for the MXT. I know Kellyco is one. Any others? Slim pickings on eBay.

Mate, Not trying to burst your bubble but I did tests on those coils and they are not uniform or as sensitive as the standard Whites Coils and after I finished testing I gave them all away because I did'nt have it in me to charge anyone for them,,

You will find alot of people who claim how great they are But thats because they refuse to admit what a mistake they have made and There is NO WAY do they even come close to Whites Coils and I'd Bet the House on that,

Good for you Mate,,,,I found the fronts of the SEF coils are alot weaker than the rear of the coils and although and a massive differance in responce on small metal compared to Standard Coils ,, I spent over 350 hours just testing them and then I gave them to someone else to test as well, and then I gave them away after we both came to the same conclusion,  and they wont repair them and the dealers are told to cut the leads off them and send them for land fill because Detech will not except the shipping costs,

good luck,,AU

Thanks AU good info good to know

Well one of my test piece's would NOT make a sound when it was placed on the front of the coil and when I put it on the back of the coil it would only pick it up In one in twenty coil sweeps and every one of my whites coils from the biggest to the smallest picked it up everytime,

So then I tried a set of coils for my minelab Soverign GT and it was Useless But the Standard Coil would pick it up and even the Big WOT coil from Coil-Tek could Pick it up and I actually found the thing with the Minelab Muskateer Advantage running at 5khz but it took me 20 minates to find it in the spoil heap with a pinpoint probe,

The dealers and reviews never tell you the facts because of the kick backs and the money they make on them, But the truth is their detection field IS NOT UNIFORM and if you are using them for finding gold chains or tiny Nuggets then you might as well stay Home and try a new Hobby, I spent over $2000 on doing my tests with these coils and I would never ever Buy another of their products, and if I can save one person from the disapointment then I'm good with that,

detech coil is not good, for understund this few minuts testing. detector detech it's not good detector for beach. it have not pinpointer, display and tone id. for this causes you need many times to find object, many time to understund what was found... detech coils it's most sensibility in the part that not sounding ground or ypur sensibility it' s not uniform.
detector detech it's very good for relics, because deep of detecting it's better than mxt for coins, but are false signal in the mineralization ground.
detector lx 756 kit modified it's very better than mxt and many other detector, because it's very stabile into tot condition and deep it's some mxt for coin, and better to detect gold, but it's dont disc. detech it's swindle
i like my mxt and my lx756
