Yeah have done i took my girl out with it this morning for 2 1/2 hours she found five coins total 16p and about ten beer bottle tops and 3hair clips only about a inch deep

Not really, John, but the key to detection is to learn how to use your machine. One of my favorite machines is a turn on and go machine called the Tesoro Compadre. That machine has found a lot of coins for me over the years.
