Can you elaborate on the name? The subject line doesn't match your question, mate.

Not a Garrett.      They were a lower to middle end detector.      Dead Bug now.

Gold Mountain produced several economy class metal detectors that were not stylish and did not sell that well. Bill Mahn's son, founder of D-Tex bought out Gold Mountain and introduced several new models. But it do them little good junk is junk

Nah been really quiet of late, back has been playing merry hell with me, a mate and I went to the local disabled school today and ran a tiller through the pinebark around the play equipment, as the safety committee decided it had become to compacted over the last few years. Ran the ace over it while we did it and removed some nasty spikes and got a total of $3.10 in coins. and found a key that matched the one we had been given to let ourselves in.
Other than that been dead quiet.. The guy I was with was given the old detector. but it stops working everytime it gets bumped.

LOL, No wink wink nudge nudge,we actually attached the found key to the Key ring that the other keys were on. Unfortunately even though I was the one that found the key, I wont have the pleasure of seeing the ground keepers face when he cotton's on there are four keys on the key ring instead of three. We were talking among ourselves wondering if the principal of the school even knows one of the main gate keys is missing. But we kind of figured by returning it. On top of the work we done, we are showing our integrity. Which hopefully may get us access to the school grounds for a strictly detecting session as it's quite an old school dates back to the 40's/50's. It was a main stream school before it became a school for disabled kids.
Keep on
