I've spent the last few days getting all the info I could find on the At Pro from rviews, user manual and youtube. I like what I see. Alot.

One thing I haven't figured out yet is if you can notch out multiple segments above iron. For instance, can you notch out 55-60.... and then notch 70-75 at the same time?

Thanks for putting me on this model... I wasn't really keeping Garrett  in mind when going at this.
Im going to start my research on the Minelab 705 and Safari. For good measure.

LM,

Notching is very easy and you can notch out what ever segments you like.

I am very confident you will find the AT Pro a very nice machine that will more then exceed your expectations. The tone's this unit produces in Pro Mode are also very handy.

I also like Minelab's products however they are not in my good books at the moment and until they stop ripping of their local (Australian) customers I won't be giving them any of my money.

Whilst there are many excellent manufactures of easy to use detectors around these day's I have to say I have been very happy over some 30+ years with Garrett's quality and customer service. These new machines are great and just so light and powerful. The AT Pro has so many extra's which you have to pay a lot more for to even come close in other machine's. I am someone that does a lot of research before parting with my dollars as I want the best quality value for money.
To me the AT Pro was a no brainer...

Only wish would be that Kellyco had sent me the International version with the slight frequency tweaks and metric labelling, but again I can't fault the amazing service from the folks at Kellyco.

Look forward to hearing about your AT Pro discoveries...   Detecting

AT Pro wins.

While I really like the Safari as well in features...I can't dunk it or feel comfortable runnin it out in a downpour. That, and Im not sure how to set it for daylight savings time Smiley

I really have been wanting to take a detector with me in my kayak... but I hadn't come up with a way of waterproofing my cibola. So the AT should fit the bill. Time to hit the islands and sandbars!

I've shopped em all pretty hard the last few days...I don't see where anyone else is making a waterproof detector in its class. Makes me wonder what kind of catch up the others are cooking.

It would seem like the extension for the arm bracket will happen...as well as a cam lock on the lower shaft.

Come on tax return check!

Thanks for puttin me on my next rig!

Thanks again all.... I have been away from the puter for a few days.

I did indeed order the AT Pro from Kellyco.

So far its been an amazing step up for me. I have been going back over old sites and really picking up the missed targets. Still learning the language a bit with it... buts its not counter intuitive so its been pretty easy going.

Ive found a few buttons and what not that I will try and take pics of and post later.

Havent gotten it wet yet.... but am headed to Galveston over memorial day weekend. Hope the beach surrenders something good.
