Has anyone had a similar issue when using the Garrett pin pointer where it still beeps after taking it out of the dig or even sifting through the dug dirt with nothing there.  Thought maybe putting in a new battery would take care of it but that wasn't the case. Tuning it off and then back on again will usually work but wondering if anyone has experienced this with this product. Thanks for any input anyone can give me!

I haven't seen that at all. If mine beeps on what appears to be clear soil, I search closer and find what causes it. It's always right.

So far.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

You're welcome. As I said, all I am sure of is that it hasn't happened to me. You can always call Garrett and ask them about it. They might ask you to send it back for a health check. They have world record fast turnarounds for their products.

Mine does the same thing on occasion, I just turn it off and back on.
If it doesn't stop I would send it in for repair.

Chris.

The problem is probably just a loose battery.  This is very common and easy to fix.  I took a piece of double sided foam tape with the backing left on one side and stuck it to the bottom of the battery and the problem was gone.
