Hello Folks,

I recently acquired this detector and Garrett can no longer supply a manual for it. I’m hoping some kind soul here  has one and can email me a copy.
I’m not sure I’m tuning it correctly.

Thanks

Somewhere I have seen a boatload of detector manuals. I checked mine and can't find one but do keep on Google searching.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I don’t see it there either. It’s a Master Hunter TR/Disc.

please put a clear picture because I read on a site a person who asked for information about a metal detector that he named "groundhog" but the detector was marked "Master Hunter TR/Disc." Here is the list of manuals I can provide you with

I appreciate your trying to help but my detector is not on the list. In 1977 Garrett sold a “family” of detectors called the Master Hunter. Among them was the TR line including the Master Hunter TR, the Coin Hunter TR which was the same machine but only came with one coil instead of two), the Money Hunter TR which was based on the Coin Hunter but had a smaller coil and no sensitivty control and the Fortune Hunter which was based on the Money Hunter but had no meter.
The one I have is the first one above, the Master Hunter TR. It was their top of the line model in that series.

A manual for either the Master Hunter TR or the Coin Hunter TR would do me right. But neither is on your list or anywhere else I have looked so far.

It may be the case that one manual covered all four, I don’t know. There was also a VLF/TR in that same family but it was a different animal and probably came with a different manual, again I’m guessing. I have never seen any of these manuals so I don’t know.

There was also a line of FeatherWeight models that shared the same names but these were also very different looking and may have functioned somewhat differently than mine.

hello , I think I have found , if your metal detector is this one ( photo ) , on the original photo it says : The FORTUNE HUNTER P.B VLF/TR "GROUNHOG" and if you look at the attached manual , the title is : OPERATING INSTRUCTION : P.B DEEPSEEKER AND P.B GROUNDHOG , so there is a manual for several devices and it's the right manual.
