Hello .
$400 is a Very Good Price , if the Excalibur works perfect .  I see posts on Craigslist and the average "used" price of a decent used Excalibur in great condition is around $700 to $800 dollars . Go check it out , if it works good and not all scratched up , buy it !!

Best Regards........HH.......Eugene

A friend of mine uses one in the water. As you say it's too heavy to use it on land. He is using a sovereign on land.
There was rumor going around when the first release the Excalibur.
The rumor was that it was a sovereign on a water proof case.
And there was even a coil that looks like a horse shoe for the sovereign so you could use in the water.
Perhaps if you can get access to a sovereign you can compare them.

Your correct about the heavy part , but made a quick mod that can be a waist or shoulder harness and its not bad I can search for hours with little fatigue .Just don't know why the did not come with a straight shaft assembly , oh well might just have to build one from the videos I have seen on youtube.   [idea]thanks for the reply.Adrian
