Show us your "collection" of fine finds.  Its been awhile, if ever, I saw a Moderator's find or finds?  When and what was the last Mod's finds? Tell us what got your blood pressure up when you saw it. To date, mine would have to be one of the toy guns I found at the side of an old house. I had to go back home and return with a shovel to remove the huge rock I found the gun under. I thought maybe, just maybe, the jar of money was under that rock. When I saw the barrel of the gun I thought it had to be real? My mind started racing, (Bonnie & Clyde, etc...)  Unfortunately it was'nt.  Yes, I'd say the gun got me excited, other than the jewelry always wondering if its real until its checked. Here's my little display case. To cold in the garage to take better pics... The Girard sign was found as well. Its porcelain coated. Toke me forever to get that dug up. Its that feeling you get when it's SHINY!! Aluminum foil always fool's me, lol

Cache, what the regulars here don't really know about is the amount of work we do behind the scenes, so to speak, on the forums. Daily life, aging bodies and all sorts of things spawned by life itself seem to take a higher priority for most of us these days. All of this combines and manages to keep me off my knees, as it were. I don't get out as often as I used to but I an assure you that my lifetime accumulation of modern, common coins now fills five 5 gallon buckets to the top. Believe it or not, I have made sure to carry them from place to place as I moved around. But only seldom will I post about my finds or show a picture.

I simply do not want any unsavory characters to see what I have been up to. Unfortunately, the forum owner WANTS these topics to attract people to these forums and that means the everyone on this planet, good or bad, can see what I write about and what I say. So, if I told you about my recent finds, a ring for example with a photograph, anyone can steal the photograph and file a lost item with the local police. It's happened before to others on forums and the wisdom of these advancing years tells me to keep my lips zipped. Now, YOU can post all you want. But this old boy stays quiet. And that's the way it is, this day before Thanksgiving in 2014.

Have a most Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving, my American friends.

I agree with GD. i used to post my finds, but I do hold back these days. I fact there is one pic I did post somewhere that I wish I could never had.
Any way here is a link of an old pic that you may find interesting.

I post finds occasionally, but not often and when I do, I'm more likely to post one of Mrs BA's finds than one of my own (like to brag on her).  Like GD and most of the other moderators I have so many irons in the fire that I don't get out as much as I'd like.  Working a full time job, moderating a couple of websites, and editing a club newsletter eat up a good bit of time...and now I've managed to add club president for my local club to that list.   Besides I'd rather spend time helping folks identify their finds and giving them 'at a boys than posting my own stuff (unless it is particularly good or unusual).
