That seems quite reasonable for repair. Should be like new! I have a G, too, and I'm needing new battery holder. Other than that, it's held up just fine. Sue

Update.  I got my detector today and I made a small test garden.  All I have to say is that it is working like it was brand new, and that it is about 99% more accurate than it used to be.  I am very satisfied and I hope to get out soon with it and see what it is capable of!! Cheesy Cheesy Grin

I think that they probably did, the compartment front was moved a bit and was more intact more tightly.  I am glad that it is working as well as it is.  I won't be able to do much with it at the moment, but I hope to.

Oh, does anybody know the most proper and utmost care for a detector to ensure that it is kept in good condition and working properly?

Cornelius, you mentioned humidity...here in Minnesota the summers are drenched with high humidity! Any suggestions?...got an investment in my GTI2500,... just have it indoors with the air-conditioning?  Undecided I'm totally new to the hobby, I haven't heard anything other than don't leave it shut in the car trunk or extreme heat/cold.
