would like a little feed back . Am wanting to upgrade to a newer detector. Have been looking at the top brands, or rather the most expencsive and a tad lower. The new lcd screens seem a bit intimiding or complicated to use. Are these new ones over rated , do all this extra functions operate well and are they needed. I am leaning towards a tesaro, but do like garret and whites, I actually think i will end up with a whites model.

thought some good feed back would be nice, before i purchase.

thanks lem

What kind of hunting do you do Lem?

What is it like where you hunt?

Does weight matter?

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

Is there a forum for the electronic bottle detectors, Tabdog?

Perhaps, there is endless possibilities especially nowadays with technology.  The only part it may be able to pick up is the old, metal cap to a bottle.  That, you may call a bottle detector.

Now if a bottle detector where to come out, that would be great. But very unlikely any time soon. Think of the possibilites, for archeoligists and others. I hunt for bottles as serious as I use my detector for coins and jewerly.

Tabdog,

I hunt old houses and fields, rivers and creeks. Don't get into sand much. I am not to big on relic hunting. I like coin and jewerly hunting, but if it is a very old site I will go to all metal. Here in the northwest the soil is very mineralized especially the idaho mts.
I like going for the deep targets in coin mode. Now I am planning a trip to florida for some beach hunting and will be dealing with sand. I at times will hunt the waters edge to maybe 2 feet in. I have been just recently told of an area close to me where some gold nuggets have been found very shallow and on top of the ground.

Funny one there Tabdog,  LOL-- boy the person who comes up with a bottle detector is gonna be very, very, very rich. I like hunting bottles as much as detecting, been out 7 days in a row now, our season here in spokane will end the end of october as the freeze sets in, DAD BLAST IT. Onl think left is to hit the high mountian creeks and shoot for nuggets in the creeks.

Ya know you just might be right come to think of it, I guess we really do have a bottle detector of sorts, of course if the lids are still on. Thanks you just saved me from inventing one. LOL.

Hey GD,
Not a forum, but I hear that toys or us has them, made by Hasbro $19.99, but wait,,,,
If you buy right now, you get a second one absoutley free, just pay a small shipping and handling fee of $199.99, but wait again,,,if you order with a credit card they will send you a delux plastic garbage bag to put it all in. What a deal-better than a stimlus package from the government.
