Hey Dewayne Welcome from Galveston Island.

I spent a lot of time hunting in Louisiana in the 70's and 80's you are in a good spot for relics. Get your hands on some old maps of the area that show old homesteads and towns . With a little research you will do good there.

Hi jessej0825, I'm in St. Tammany also, originally from New Orleans from the Bywater area. Lived there from 1954 to 1974. Have you tried City Park, Audubon Park, or around Bayou St. John? Be very careful as you inalienate yourself concentrating on metal detecting, making an easy target for getting mugged!!!! Good Luck, Mississippi has the beaches on the coast. Good Luck, Don
