Go Up Go Down

After hours of reading reviews and trying to figure out which ones were from the users and which from the dealers and manufacturers....
The chipotle wins! Clapp
$309 with shipping.
When it arrives, the first thing I'll do is go over my yard that I've completely cleaned out the first 4" with my MD 7012 and see what it can turn up.
Then I plan on a back to back silver coin depth test between the MD7012, the Tesoro and a Whites CM5900 (if I can ever get my friend to bring it over.)
Might even make a YT vid. Cool

Hector, Good luck with your choice. I will be very interested to see your comparison of these three machines. Post the results if you would. I'm not very experienced and have had only 2 machines but I would say the major limitation I have come across is with the machines I use is recovery speed. U.S. coins near iron junk are passed over if the recovery is too slow. If the recovery is too fast coins are passed over because the tone is too short. I don't know which is better.  gambol

I thought everybody would be telling me which detector they like and why.
Not much info here.... Angry

Hector you have listed a wide price range of machines, so its hard to ansewer your question as the machines are so different
the ETRAC is real good and deep, but as all multi frequency machines
they don't like trash areas, If your after silver coins you should consider a low frequency machine coz they hit harder, and deeper
on silver so as stated the f4 or f5 dependig on the frequencies 4khz to 10khz would be a good place to start

Why would we respond if we agreed with the response that was already made.   You didn't ask anyone to ADD any detectors to your list and Seldom did a pretty good job of narrowing it down.   (I'd probably give the Teknetics Delta 4000 a longer look that he would and I'd probably not include the e-trac, but both of those decisions are strictly personal and have as much to do with budget as anything else).   Now if you let me add to the list, my personal list would be the Garrett AT-PRO, the Fisher F4/F5, and the Tesoro Cibola......but that's my list, not yours.

Got the Cibola today.
Took it out in my yard where I scoured over with  the MD7012 and found 11 more coins!
Already starting to get the feel of "reading" the signal.
Gunna take it to some easy pickins kiddy playgrounds and learn some more.
Once I feel confident with it I'll do a garden test, then install the GB mod and see if I can gain  some more depth.
Thanks for all the good input guys... this looks like a keeper! Grin
Videos and pics will be coming soon!

The Cibola is a very good choice.   Once you learn how to listen to what it is trying to say to you, you should be pleased with the results for years to come.
