I once used a fellow's 1265-x  or 1266-x (can't recall which?)and a HOTHEAD coil of 12 inches diameter...That unit really got good depth...I could lay a shovel on the ground and it would detect the shovel blade as I held the coil about 4 feet off the ground. Flat-out had some serious depth ability for deep scanning those relics and caches.I'd like to hear what others thought about the HOTHEAD type coils and if it ever helped them find good stuff that they wouldn't have been able to detect without that coil.

I still use a 1266-X with a 12" Hothead coil. Very deep seeker and I can pinpoint a dime at 12" without going to pinpoint mode...I am extremely happy with the coil.

Good morning, me there just just accept one this morning by post, for my spectrum xlt, my old blue max 950 was broken, I made a quick try in my garden and I am very agreeably surprised, she works very profoundly but remains good on the small rooms, she is stable, I pushed the preampgain to 10 without problem, I am impatient to use it on the ground  Great
