I just went to Goodwill and bought a sterling silver chain that weighs 40 grams for 9 dollars.  Did I get a good buy or what?

Hello . I think you did Great !! It should be worth at least $50. dollars or more . I thought the real good stuff was always confiscated by the Goodwill employees and never made it to the store shelf . You are very Lucky . I have never seen a used Metal Detector for sale at any Goodwill for the same reason . Pawn shops always have used Metal Detectors in stock but they are always way over priced ...Thanks for posting !
HH..... Great...Eugene

I'd say you did quite well indeed.  Good find.  Congrats.
