Hi All, I run an add on craigslist to drum up places to hunt. I dont charge, I like to do private property when I can.

I was contacted this morning by a couple who little 2 year loast a atv 4wheeler key on a farm. She seemed pretty sure about where the key was lost. It was lost about a month ago.

Anyway, I wont be able to get out till the weekend. Anyone in Demming want to try, its a farmhouse from the 1950's, Ill be glad to give you the info. She requested text only, not too early or late. The better half gets home after 5:30pm.

Just pm or respond and I will send the cell number. Thanks.

I can't, but your idea about craigslist is facinating.  How does your ad run?  What do you ask for?  That seems like a great way to get exposure to property.

Yes Plz Share   Idea  info about your Craigs List Ad. What Section do you run it under and what does your ad say and like Okletsee Said "What do you ask for" , Cause i scan CL all the time and have never seen such an ad and if it works for you maybe it could work, for the rest of us willing to try it.

Thanks In Advance  Detecting
Karl

As you know Craigslist is free. I post a simple add in the free section, as I dont charge. My ad is simple as follows:

"Loose your keys or wedding band?
Have metal Detector will travel. Also willing to detect old lots, homes, plowed land, or demolitions for artifacts, coins, and minerals. Email or text 575-993-XXXX".

I get a hit a week, and that keeps me busy.

If you have any ideas on this that would be great.

Hey Karl, I get really good responses. I lead the converstaion to age of property, other old buildings, and such. I dont charge, and till I actually find something, I dont bring it up. But when I get the curious person with questions, I let them know what I find is thiers. I would like to keep obviously older coins and such. I also dont try to dig the whole place in one day. I have only done this a few times since posting it online. I am always surprised at what I find. But no wonderful post of Indian Heads or old silver yet.

You could download and post a simple permission form with the add, which Im thinking of doing maybe splitting finds 50%. If your into gold nuggets and such, I would make that clear. Also what happens if you find a chache?

But simple keeps the attention. Problem is Demming is an hour away. But that area is good for prospoecting so maybe I will go if I cant find anyone.

This is ranch and working farm............I know there is prospectors up there. Enough said. Let us know if you post and what happens. Ill start doing the same.
