Go Up Go Down

Hi all
My nephew did a great job to get me this site very close to London, the land owner has an attitude that all detectorists would just die for this guy has around 78 acres of farm land that has been trampled by people for over 3000 years and will definitely have Roman coins and every monarch of Britain.
I could only get a measly 4 hours but have been told to come back any time when I visit my stay here is winding down with very little time left for family visiting.
I have some pics of the site and a few finds, you can only imagine what its like to have all this land in front of you and know youre the only one who is going to detect it, and when I got out of the car the question came to me "where do you start"? well as he allowed me to drive the car all over the place I decided to do some tests bydriving out to the boudries of his property spending an hour here and there, nothing much came to light this time but I almost felt I had to pinch myself just being there, heres the pics , I will be back in Canada on Sat to continue the search of the "other" farm there.....HH   Johnnn

you got to do a bit of field walking, look out for black or dark soil, broken pottery, also areas with lots of Iron, all signes of occupation,,,dont just dig any field,ok give them a try, some areas will be more productive then others, good luck and find some hammerd silvers,,,,
