I am not positive on exactly what types these are.  I have a Garrett GTP 1350 and I wouldn't know what type it is.  Could someone please elaborate on this? Appreciate it.

Your machine is runing in the VLF mode if you are using discrimation or All Metal.

Pin Point Mode, it reverts to the TR mode.

Ah, thanks for clearing it up.  There was a method I saw for determining objects in the ground that involved the terms.  Thanks again. Wink Smiley

Sorry for double post, would my detector be considered a analog detector?

A slight nuance :

You have a VLF discriminator, which has a no motion pinpoint feature.

VLF/TR detectors are of the NO MOTION type, like many c Scopes, vikings, and some other (white's etc etc).

They are of an older type and only used nowadays by old rots like me who know how and WHERE to use them. Those detectors have NO problems with masking  and are awesome on iron packed sites. They also give satisfactory performance on wet sand and are very sensitive to thin gold, providing that the work frequency is high (around 100 Khz).

One is a VLF machine and the Other a PI.   No Comparison.  Two Tools for Two Different jobs.

The Sand Shark is not very deep as many other PI's. Have a look at this Video.
