I Like the build quality and the Brand because I have had a massive amount of success with them.

See coz the hole was not filled in that still remains as an air test, I did the same thing with an MXT Pro with the standard 12"/300 coil and I picked up a coke can at 47" or 1.18 meters and a PI will chew that machine up and spit it up, English ground on average is pretty mild unlike in Oz where the ground is tougher than the tools used to dig it,

Thanks for posting that Mate I deleted all my MD files by mistake,, LOL

About Gary's Detecting field test ,I believe that if the search coil of Nexus was the original it will detect the target of coins, because Nexus company claims that the whole success is based on the perfect null of search coils.
It would be interesting if in the test there was and P.I. detectors.

First Off, Lets get one thing Straight, Whites, Garrett and MineLab ALL Have Perfect Nulled Coils and by Nexus saying that portrays that others Do NOT,  For A Start KEN WHITE and CHARLES GARRETT,  Are the True Pioneers of Metal detecting along with Dave Johnson Being the Best Engineer ( for VLF machines) AND Eric Foster Being the Best Engineer (for Pulse Induction Machines),

What Nexus say has nothing to do with it and their Claims are Just Gossip,

As I Said A Pulse Induction Machine Will Eat That Nexus for Breakfast, When a Machine can find a bobby pin at 14 to 18 " how deep do you think that it is going to find some thing that big,

That Test is nothing more than A Dick Measuring contest, which I might add has NO VALUE to it,  I have found a 40mm toy soldier using a Minelab Sovereign GT using a Standard 10 inch Coil at over 17 inches /43CMs, But they are useless in Iron filled sites,

The XP Deus will find a Single coin at 17 inches also, In this test he is using 1kg of coins,,

That Nexus is all but Useless on Hilly rocky or wooded areas, The Coil is about 10 x 20 inches  or 8x 16 inches so how does he reckon this is a fair comparison to other machines,,, This is just Gary showing off his new toys,, I know of many machines that will find that tin.

Look I have told you many times that That machine will not do what you want or Expect,  You seem to like listening to all the hype, So go and Buy the thing and when you find that it is all Lie's and only works on some things, In the end you will have a Very expensive toy that you will hate it Because It CAN NOT DO what you want you are Expecting, Garys test is NOT conclusive because the ground has been disturbed and is a cross between a buried object and an Air Test, I can think of At leased 10 Detectors that will find that Can,

The Laws of Physics Dictate What A Metal Detector Can Do,  NOT Nexus and NOT GARY ( with Due Respect to gary )

Well I hope you get something that you are happy with, There is no do it all machine, That's why I mentioned the TDI SL and the TM808

The Next Machine I would recommend is the Garrett ATX then the Whites TDI Pro and with either machine I would sagest either the TM808 or the Fischer Two Box Locator,

That Nexus is an over priced vlf machine, If you are prepared to spend that kind of money on a detector then you have such a large range of machine in your price range,

It "send" 110V AC in the ground via rods and read the electrical resistance of the soil and if it found something then changes the resistance of the meter, but in practice how is going? Shocked
