Go Up Go Down

Hi,
I wrote to Garrett asking why we were expected to pay such a huge markup on the new AT Pro.
They passed the query on to the U.K. distributors (Regtons)
I just got this email back from them!

Sir,

The AT Pro is aimed at the USA whereas the AT Pro International is for European detectorists, the differences in price are due to many things, exchange rates, no Duty, no VAT, different machine, different buying prices, and comparing RRP with discounted prices, the AT Pro Internation  will be RRP ?595, the price in the magazine adverts was incorrect.

Hope this helps explain the differences.

Regards

Chris you need to tell us why you did not like the At Pro be cause in the 5 or 6 months you have been a member you have changed detectors several times. In my opinion you have not stayed with a machine long enough to be good judge.

Good Paul 595 was closer to what you thought it should be. You going to get one?

Chris, if you took the time to really learn the garrett pro you just might find that it is your favorite for some types of hunting---but you've got to really work with a detector to learn how to use it properly.   A hobby that definitely calls for patience.

Hi Chris, a lot of patents on metal detectors are owned by the same guy. You are correct changing coils instead of machines is much easier step. I'm pretty sure there are many guys and gals who would love to have the AT Pro.  How did the AT pro do poorly compared to the Tesero? That is a monster machine and probably has a huge learning curve? Sounds like you were having discrimination problems. Also isn't the AT Pro programmable? What program are you using? Can I ask if you use a sample of what your looking for to set the discrimination before you hunt? I mean there is some things can go wrong using a new machine. The machine itself could have needed adjusted. Well I envy you having the permit abd being able to hunt the Thames, good luck with the Tesero.
