hey guys ok so i have had a look and i have managed to get it back to where i was, i have found a better speaker so now i get a tone if i turn the pot all the way up i get a whine which i would expect. When i connect any thing to the coil side it shorts out and the mosfet goes mental. i took the 2222 off and tested it with my multi meter and it is fine what else could it be?

Hey guys my coil is 10" Dia 20 turns magnet wire 0.5mm 1.7 ohms, covered in foil for a temp shield, when i turn on the power i do not get a beep i only get the hum if i turn the pot up too much (good?) and i can wave a large spoon ( first thing to hand ) and if i play with the pots i can get a slight pick up tone but anything smaller and it will not pick it up. i have ordered another kit and will try again its like the bottem w203 pot does not work as it should ?

so this is where i am now guys i have ordered a new one :Smiley once i get paid i will order an oscilloscope (cheep one)

and im going to check all the bits to make sure they are correct  Coffee

i going to keep on with this board as it seems to function but not very well atm

Experts.   Drip Under Pressure ?   What kind of coil are you using ?   Just twist up a simple coil.

hey guys i have built another board and have managed to get the coil to pick up a gold chain next to the coil i have set pin 6 to 0V again and i have tried to get the tone to change but nothing happens, i have noticed a strange thing the coil hums not the speaker (dont worry i havent connected them the wrong way around) unless i wave a piece of metal infront of it (the coil) and the mosfet gets warmer than i would like any ideas?

The coil buzzing is it being Pulsed.   Sound like your audio section or before is not working.   I would Check power to all chips starting at the first Amp.
