bottle/void detector

(1/1)

I know !! this topic came out periodically... but
I was wondering if the AN/PRS1 detector from WWII will do the job, i read on the manual that it was designed to find non-metal mines (like german glass-mine).

I was watching at the schematic to see if a possible re-engineering of the machine, but the "antenna" assembly seams to be complex.

The machine works on the principle that an antenna draw current is influenced by the nearby matter, so setting the detector on clean soil the eventually absence of soil (void) or change in the characteristic of soil will be detected as an antenna current consumption variation.

No need to emphasise that most modern caches are "non metal type".
